Contact Dr Al-Rubaiy

Initial Consultation

Your initial appointment will usually last up to 30 minutes and a standard follow-up consultation will last up to 15 minutes. If you feel that you need a longer consultation, especially for a complex and multi-speciality consultation covering several diseases, please contact us to check if it is possible during the same appointment.

Remote Consultations

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Al-Rubaiy is offering remote video and telephone consultations for patients. All clinical queries will be discussed during the appointment and any results for tests completed or arranged by Dr Al-Rubaiy will be discussed during a follow-up appointment.

Unless you do not wish your doctor to be informed, your consultation will be followed by a letter to your GP. While this is entirely your choice, keeping your GP informed of our action plan can help with your holistic medical care. This will also alert them to any interactions between our prescription and any other medications. What’s more, they will be able to keep prescribing through the NHS.

Private Medical Insurance

If you have private medical insurance, you must contact your insurer before your consultation to check the terms of your policy concerning the level and type of outpatient cover you have, (including any reimbursement limits on individual consultation fees) and provide a pre-authorisation code. This should be issued by your private medical insurer before your appointment and should be sent to al-rubaiysec@gidcotors.co.uk.

Referrals

To book an appointment on your private medical insurance, you are required to have a referral letter from either your GP or another doctor. Please send a copy of the referral to al-rubaiysec@gidcotors.co.uk to secure the first available appointment without delay.

Fees

Consultation fees are agreed with your insurance provider. Please check with your insurer for any fees not covered by your insurer. For self-paying patients, the fee for a standard initial consultation is £200 – 250, and the fee for a standard follow-up consultation ranges from £150 – 175.
